An extremely well situated house in the Gran Alacant area. Three good sized bedrooms, air-conditioning in all bedrooms and living room. The living room has a very comfortable couch and armchair with a great choice of TV channels. The kitchen was a great size with washing machine, iron etc. A nice porch out the front for breakfast etc and plenty of space on the roof for a barbecue or just relaxing on the loungers. The pool is more than adequate for the area and if you are a beach bum then the beach is a 20 minute walk down the hill or 1 stop on the bus. The beach has improved massively in the last couple of years with an inflatable play park in the sea with slides and the hire of various types of kayak, pedalos, surf boards along with the usual banana boat, all prices are extremely reasonable. A car is not a necessity in this area, buses are great at €1.60 each person as far as Alicante town centre. A taxi to Santa Pola was €15 and to Alicante €20 and if you fancy Benidorm, TerraMitica or Aqualandia there are buses running direct on a Wednesday and Friday. We've stayed in Gran Alacant 6 times now and this is the best all round house we've stayed at. Thoroughly recommended by all the family.

We have three boys 5, 7 & 9 and we are an active family who enjoy walking. The property had everything we needed, great roof terrace. We did not hire a car and did not need one. The pool is very close (too cold for grown-ups at Easter but not the kids), there is a fantastic park minutes away and a perfectly adequate supermarket. The beach is a 10 minute walk away and a good uphill challenge on the way back. There is a lovely walk to Santa Pola along the coast line. The buses are great to Alicante and the best bus stop for these is the one near the ice cream parlour on the way to the beach (also here is a shop that sells EVERYTHING so don't worry too much about forgetting things when packing). We had a brilliant time - the weather was great too!

Just returned from one week at this property, we found it to be of very good standard, clean and with good facilities. Lots of useful information about the area. We hired a car to visit Alicante and Benidorm for the water park. Gran Alacant was a small peaceful town with good amenities. Booking process was easy and key holders very helpful and flexible. Very nice place to stay during summer holidays. Calm and clean. Close to Alicante or other cities which are good for shopping, dinner or simply evening promenade. Better to get a car to be more flexible in choosing beach. We had a great time there!

As we had previously owned a property on Altomar I, we knew exactly what to expect! The property was well maintained and the service offered by Peter and Fiona Escott (the keyholders) was excellent. The microwave broke on 2nd day and was replaced immediately - obviously with 2 young children this was very important!
