Defying Brexit fears, Jet2.com have announced that for summer 2017 they will increase flights between the UK and Alicante-Elche airport.

Between April and November 2017, there will be up to 93 flights per week between Alicante and the UK and the company will increase flights by 40%. The winter season, which runs until March, is already offering 30% more flights compared to the same period in 2015/2016. There will be routes between Alicante-Elche Airport and 9 UK destinations – London Stansted, Belfast, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle, compared to 76 per week in the summer of 2016.
The increased flights come as Jet2.com continually promote Alicante as a holiday destination highlighting the city’s values. The Municipal Tourism Board of Alicante, welcomed the work of Jet2holidays and said: “We value positively the promotion by Jet2holidays of our city, contributing in this way to spread the image of Alicante among its clients of the north and centre of England.”
