Alicante-Elche airport is expecting a record season for 2014 due to increased flights.

According to Santiago Martinez-Cava, the Director of Alicante-Elche airport, the high season starts on 30th March this year (2014) until 28th October 2014 and, during this time there will be 8.3 million seats on offer, through some 47,132 flights – a 3% increase on 2013 with 80% of the passengers being tourists from abroad.
