This weekend Alicante will be hosting a Medieval Market which will occupy over 15 streets and plazas in Alicante’s Old Quarter.

This year will be the 18th Medieval Market held in Alicante and will be bigger and better than ever before. Organisers are expecting more than 500,000 visitors from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th June 2014 to browse the 100+ stalls. A packed daily programme of entertainment has been put together from 10.00-midnight (siesta 14.00-17.30) each day, including two Correfoc shows (which are a combination of handheld fireworks, costumes, music and dancing). These will begin at 22.30 on both Friday 6th June and Saturday 7th June in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento (Town Hall Square). If you are here in Alicante this weekend, be sure to go along!
