Alicante and the Costa Blanca Advertising Campaign come to UK

Alicante and the Costa Blanca are being heavily promoted in Britain this winter.

Advertising Alicante And The Costa Blanca For Summer Holidays In Spain

The targeted cities for the 210 billboards are Manchester, Derby, Birmingham, Sheffield, Glasgow, Nottingham, Leicester, Cardiff, Newcastle and Doncaster. 

Alicante and the Costa Blanca will be represented in more than 170 UK travel agencies and additional website promotions will also be put in place. 106 taxis in two of the cities will carry advertising promoting holidaying in Alicante and the Costa Blanca, and there will be 38 illuminated panels in the main train stations of 5 of the cities advertising Alicante as a holiday destination, and illuminated panels will be set up in selected branches of Waitrose, Tesco, Morrisons and ASDA supermarkets.

Tourism in Alicante

The Alicante Government, which has allotted €400,000 for the scheme, along with the Director General of the Tourist Board of the Costa Blanca, Gema Amor, and Antoni Mayor, the president of Hosbec are involved in this high profile campaign to promote tourism in Alicante and the Costa Blanca region. They hope to attract even more British tourists to rent in Alicante and the Costa Blanca, as 59 % of international visitors already come from the UK.  

Alicante Top Holiday Destination Choice

With Spain’s other major income source, construction, still in the doldrums, Alicante Council are hoping for a major influx of people coming to both Alicante and the Costa Blanca for holidays and want to show Alicante as being a top holiday destination choice.
