As always there are lots of things to do and see in Alicante during Christmas 2016/17. In the Parque de la Ermeta, you can visit Santa’s Grotto, skate on the temporary ice rink in Alicante, try the toboggan run in Alicante, visit the beautiful nativity scenes or enjoy a festive Christmas market!
Alicante Christmas Craft Market
The Christmas Market in Alicante will, as usual, be in Avenida de Federico Soto, which is the main road from Alicante marina to the Plaza de los Luceros. From 1st December – 6th January 2017, the stalls will be open everyday (except Christmas Day and New Years Day). A vast selection of goodies will be on sale plus traditional nativity figurines.

Alicante Christmas Nativity Market
From 15th – 19th December, in the Plaza de Gabrial Miro, there will be some 50 craft stalls accompanied by live music, children’s activities and games and a live nativity scene complete with some of the animals that Mary and Joseph shared the stable with. Everday from 11.00 – 14.30 and 17.00 – 21.00
Alicante Nativity Scenes
The Alicante Municipal Belen is situated in the Mercado Central on Alfonso X El Sabio from the 25th November to the 8th January. And don’t forget the Museo de Belenes in Alicante is open all year round!
Casa de Santa Claus
You can visit the house of Santa Claus in the Parque de la Ereta in Alicante (the park just below the Castle) where it will snow everyday! More details here.
Ice Skating In Alicante
The temporary 390m2 ice skating rink is located in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento from the 2nd December – 8th January. Everyday from 10.00 – 14.00 and 16.00 – 22.00
Toboggan Run In Alicante
The temporary 35m long Toboggan Run is located in the Plaza de la Montaneta from the 2nd December to the 8th January. Everyday from 10.00 – 14.00 and 16.00 – 22.00
New Years Eve In Alicante
The Plaza del Ayuntamiento is the place to be on New Years Eve! With much partying on the 31st December from 23.00 to 03.00! More details here!
