On Monday November 25th 2019, Alicante-Elche airport beat its passenger record with the arrival of 14 million passengers with still more than a month to end of the year and it meant a Dutch visitor had a lovely surprise when she touched down at Alicante-Elche airport when she was declared the 14th million passenger to be welcomed this year.
The record milestone was marked by Alicante-Elche Airport Director Laura Navarro alongwith representatives of Spanish Airports and Air Navigation (AENA) who greeted her as she disembarked from a Transavia Boing 737-800 arriving from Eindhoven. The lady was presented with several gifts including a pass for the airport’s VIP lounge.
