The amount of people renting Spanish holiday villas is likely to rise during 2011, according to Lonely Planet.
According to Tom Hall, Travel Editor at Lonely Planet, many people have sacrificed their annual holiday for the last couple of years, due to the recession, therefore making them even more eager to get away in 2011.

He also suggested looking for other times to travel rather than July and August as these times are the most expensive times of year to rent holiday villas in Alicante and travelling to Spain outside of these dates will offer a more cost effective way of taking a Spanish villa holiday in 2011.
Spain Is Best Value Destination
Travelsupermarket.com also suggested that Spain will be the best value destination in 2011 due to the weak Euro, meaning Brits will find their Spanish holiday spending money going further than last year and, with only 15% per cent of Brits planning to stay in the UK, Spain will stay top of the holiday favourites in 2011.
