Spending by foreign tourists in Spain has risen in 2011.
A record of more than €29 billion was spent by tourists who visited Spain, including Alicante, during the first 7 months of 2011. A year on year increase of just over 8.8%. The British are still the main market, with a marked increase in the numbers of visitors to Spain and Alicante from Holland in July 2011.
