History Of Santisima Trinidad
The Santisima Trinidad was built in Havana and designed by Irish Naval Architect Matthew Mullan. Launched in 1769, it had 3 bridges and eventually 140 cannons in 1802. In July 1779, Spain declared war on England and joined France in support of the American War of Independence. Santisima Trinidad then became the flagship of the Spanish naval fleet.
