Using Hotels.com Sunshine Price Index research, which compares the hours of sunshine every day with the average cost of one night’s hotel room across Europe, national British newspaper the Daily Star has said Alicante has been named the best value holiday destination in Europe in terms of cost per hours of sunshine, with tourists ‘paying’ £6.15 an hour. With Barcelona and Mallorca only coming 8th and 18th in the survey, it shows that Alicante is definitely your best value holiday destination!
